  • Electrical**
  • Fire alarm**
  • Fire suspension**
  • General contractor**
  • HVAC, hydronic**
  • Kitchen hood suppression**
  • Medical gas**
  • Plumbing**
  • Refrigeration**
  • Underground fire main**

Note that the ones ** also require a current State of Ohio License Certificate (O.C.I.L.B or State Fire Marshal).

All contractor license/registration bond amounts are set at $10,000.

How To Get a Contractor License in Summit County, Ohio

To become a licensed general contractor in Summit County, the following must be presented in order to secure a contractor registration: 

  1. A completed contractor registration application
  1. A surety bond amount of $10,000
  1. Certificate of liability insurance
  1. Current O.C.I.L.B or State Fire Marshal’s license (if applicable)
  1. A registration fee of $145 (per registration) or $90 renewal fee (if paid prior to expiration)
