Source Sought Notice- Fire Alarm and Notification System Replacement, Columbus, Ohio- Response Due March 30, 2022, by 4pm EST
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a Request for Proposal. This notice does not represent a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This is strictly market research to determine availability and adequacy of potential sources with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for information received as a result of this announcement. Request for solicitation will not receive a response.
The General Services Administration (GSA), Great Lakes Region (Region 5), has a need to perform the following work which includes, but is not limited to: Replacement of the fire alarm system in the Federal Building and the Federal Building Garage at the John F. Bricker Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, located at 200 North High Street Columbus, Ohio 43215. The construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The performance period is 357 calendar days for the Federal Building and 140 calendar days for the Garage. The anticipated award date is September 2022.
Additional Information:
The contractor will be required to demonstrate that they have successful past performance record in Fire Alarm Projects. If the work will be performed by a subcontractor, the Contractor will be required to identify the subcontractor and provide installations where this subcontractor together with the contractor has successfully installed such systems. The work includes:

1) A short statement regarding your business' expertise and experience in this field.
2) Include two projects completed within the last five years similar in size and scope to the work described above.
B) Were the projects completed at least 3 years ago?
C) Was the installation supervised by a technician that is certified NICET level III or IV for fire alarms, or a registered fire protection engineer? Is this individual on staff or was this subcontracted? Include any other relevant information.
3) Provide a customer point of contact for each project listed (telephone and email address).
4) Do you have experience working in a historic building for similar size and scope described above? If yes, please explain and provide a customer point of contact (telephone and email address).
5) Indicate any and all applicable small business representation(s) (8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, Women-Owned, etc.).
6) What is your firm's bonding capacity per project?
7) Please indicate your intent to bid on a subsequent solicitation.
