NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to sole source a contract to supply and install Dell Power Switch 24x1G SPF, Layer 3 Switch, and Transceiver (Brand Name Only) in support of the Biamp, Vocia and Rauland Overhead Paging and Nurse Call Upgrade project for Buffalo VA Medical Center located at 3495 Bailey Avenue Buffalo, NY 14215.

The objective of this sole source award is for a firm fixed price contract with Ronco Specialized Systems, Inc. This sole source determination is in accordance with FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition, procedures and in accordance with 41 USC 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. Ronco Specialized Systems, Inc. is the only known authorized supplier and servicing agent for Biamp, Vocia and Rauland Overhead Paging and Nurse Call Software, Servers, Parts and Accessories at the Buffalo VA Medical Center. They are currently working on the Biamp, Vocia and Rauland Overhead Paging and Nurse Call Upgrade project for the Buffalo VA Medical Center and requires the addition of the Layer 3 Switch to complete the project. The Dell Power Switch 24x1G SPF, Layer 3 Switch, and Transceiver must be programmed to have the ability to interface and communicate with the new Rauland Responder V and Biamp Vocia software and control system throughout the Buffalo VA Medical Center in Buffalo, NY.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541519 and the size standard is $30.0 Million.

No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Interested vendors that can meet this requirement, should identify their interest and capability, and respond to this notice by 12/02/2024 by 4:00 PM EST. Interested vendors must send a capability statement, no more than one page in length; to include Company Name, UEI Number, Socioeconomic Category, brief description of your business entities capability to provide these items.

All information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be sent via email to the Contracting Officer. E-mail: Myra.Green2@va.gov and will consider responses received by 4:00 PM EST on December 02, 2024. Facsimile or telephonic responses will not be accepted.

Simply responding as an interested party does not constitute your company as a source. Offeror must provide the above requested information.

A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
