Description

The intent of this project is to provide all materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals for the rehabilitation of a 48’ long road bridge.  Work includes replacement of lumber and timber running planks, curbs, decking, backing planks, and associated hardware and fasteners.  Other work includes the repair of concrete abutments, installation of gabion wingwalls, the regrading of roadway approaches, and placement of asphalt paving.  Project will result in a fully functional road bridge as described in attached documents.

Location:  The project site is located in Josephine County, Oregon, near the town of O’Brien within the Wild Rivers Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest.  Forest Service Road (FSR) location as follows:

  • FSR 4402000, mile post 5.4

The selection process, and evaluation criteria to be addressed, will be outlined in the forthcoming solicitation.  The solicitation will be available for download exclusively via https://www.sam.gov on or about 02/15/2024.  Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued.  The Government intends to award without discussions, however, reserves the right to conduct discussions should it be deemed in the Government’s best interest.

One Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) contract will be awarded.  The contract period of performance will be 120 calendar days with an estimated start work of 04/15/2024. 

The magnitude of this construction project is between $100,000 and $250,000.  All offerors will be required to provide a Bid Bond (20%) with their proposal submission.  Performance and Payment Bonds (100% each) will be required of the successful awardee.  

Note:  Per FAR 52.204-7(b)(1), System for Award Management (SAM), an Offeror is required to be registered in SAM when submitting an offer and shall continue to be registered until time of award, during performance, and through final payment for any contract resulting from this solicitation.  Information on registration may be obtained via:  https://www.sam.gov.  All Offerors must complete the electronic version of the Representations and Certifications in the SAM system.
