This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation Notice for commercial items issued pursuant to FAR Subpart 12. Under this notice, the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago District (USACE) is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for: SUPPLY OF POSITIONING EQUIPMENT FOR CRANE BARGE LOCATED AT 2619 E. CAPITOL DRIVE APPLETON, WISCONSIN 54911

A. GOVERNMENT REQUIREMENTS: This acquisition is pursuant to the provisions set forth by Part 12 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, “Commercial Items.” In this acquisition, the contractor shall provide all materials and training as specified in the enclosed Statement of Work for the Lake Michigan Floating Plant (Crane Barge), WHICH consists of the following:
MATERIALS TO SUPPLY
Crane System sensors to include Boom Angle Indicator, Hauling Gear payout meter and integrated network switch Trimble GPS Heading Receiver 7/2 BX992 for Crane House, (2) GA830 GPS Antennas
GPS cables (3) 100 feet in length, (2) 50 feet in length, (3) 25 feet in length
GPS cable couplers (Qty 6)
Electronic dredge positioning crane package
Training – On-Site training for 3 days (training may take place in Kewaunee, WI, Milwaukee, WI, Waukegan, IL and or Chicago, IL).
COMPETITION FOR THIS ACQUISITION IS RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESSES. AN OFFEROR MUST BE HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN THE SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT WHEN PLACING AN OFFER/PROPOSAL PACKAGE FOR THIS ACQUISITION. REGISTRATION CAN BE COMPLETED FREE OF CHARGE AT www.sam.gov.
The applicable Size Standard is North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334511, with a Small Business size standard of 1,250 employees.
SUBMITTAL DUE DATE AND TIME:
The Contractor submittal packages must be received by the USACE - Chicago District Office no later than 5:30p.m. (Central time) on April 16, 2021. Please reference the subject solicitation number on all correspondence. Detailed submittal requirements are contained in the Solicitation document.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
IN THE CASE OF A DISCREPANCY BETWEEN THE DATES PUBLISHED IN THIS NOTICE AND THOSE CALLED OUT IN THE ATTACHED RFQ DOCUMENT, THE DATES IN THE RFP DOCUMENT OVERRIDES THOSE PUBLISHED HEREIN THIS NOTICE; THIS IS RELATIVE TO THE RFP ISSUANCE DATE AND THE DUE DATE FOR SUBMITTAL PACKAGES.
