Sources Sought Notice Sources Sought Notice Page 12 of 12 Sources Sought Notice *= Required Field Sources Sought Notice Page 1 of 12 On behalf of the Lexington VA Medical Center, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 9 is issuing this Sources Sought Notice (SSN) as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for a firm-fixed-priced purchase order for Carotid Instrumentation Trays located at the Troy Bowling Campus Lexington KY VAMC. The contractor must be certified to operate and maintain SMC equipment and provide proof of certification before award. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. 1. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 9, is seeking sources that can provide equipment that meets the following salient characteristics: The items ordered shall meet the following salient characteristics: 1. All sets are complete including the tray to hold the instruments. 2. All instruments are surgical grade: a. All stainless-steel is German grade. b. No items from Pakistan. 3. All items are included in the manufacturer s instructions for use and can be reprocessed in accordance with VHA Sterile Processing Services Directive 1116 (2). 4. Items will be packaged to prevent damage during shipment. 5. See Clin Structure for equipment list. The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to: Provide services consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated. Statement of Work: Carotid Instrumentation Tray GENERAL: This is an order of 3 Carotid Instrumentation Trays. Description of Use: The Lexington VA Health Care System utilizes the Carotid Instrumentation in vascular surgical cases. Background: The Lexington VA Health Care System utilizes the Carotid Instrumentation Tray in vascular surgical cases. OR has requested the creation of this instrument tray to improve efficiency in the operating room. It will also improve efficiency in sterile processing. Currently 3 trays are used for a carotid case: Basic Vascular 1, Basic Vascular 2 and Basic Vascular 3. The 3 trays total 234 instruments. This carotid tray will reduce that to 122 instruments. This will help the OR having all of the needed instruments in one tray and not having over 100 unnecessary instruments.
