26 Nov 24: The purpose of this update is to provide industry with:
1) New RFP location and information. All posting of data associated with the CAT-F Program will now be found under the new SAM.gov Notice ID FA8533-25-R-0002. No further updates or information will be posted on this informational request, FA8533-23-S-CATF. Please refer to the new Notice ID FA8533-25-R-0002 for all future acquisition information.
2) Several draft RFP attachments are hereby posted to the new Notice ID offered in #1 above, today, Tuesday, 26 Nov 2024. Request review and all feedback be received NLT 4pm EST, Tuesday, 10 Dec 24. Date for Final RFP release will be forthcoming in a future update of CAT-F News under the new Notice ID.
3) The posted DRAFT RFP, FA8533-24-R-0002, attachments include the DRAFT Sections L&M, DRAFT Statement of Objectives (SOO), and Questions to Industry.
4) The DRAFT attachments posted on SAM.gov are for REVIEW ONLY. The Government is NOT requesting proposals at this time.

22 Nov 23: The CAT-F team is hosting the Common Armament Tester for Fighter (CAT-F) One-on-One Product Demonstration Industry Event on 12th-13th December 2023; 0900-1600 EST at the Museum of Aviation Art Gallery, 1942 Heritage Blvd, Warner Robins, GA 31098. This event is intended to be an open forum for industry to meet in closed-door sessions with the CAT-F team members to discuss, present, and demonstrate their product capabilities. If your company would like to participate in this demonstration event, submit an email to the below team members no later than 1300 EST; Thursday, 30 Nov 2023 with your company’s name and a point of contact. All companies will receive a confirmation letter with a designated appointment time and instructions. There is no virtual option for this demonstration event.

24 Oct 23: The Government is pleased to announce a newly establish SAM.gov contract opportunity announcement for the Common Armament Tester for Fighter (CAT-F) program acquisition. The previous CAT-F SAM.gov announcement Notice ID FA8533-21-R-CATF is hereby superseded in its entirety. All information related to the CAT-F program acquisition will be placed under this SAM.gov Notice ID: FA8533-23-S-CATF until the Government transfers all program announcement activities to a SAM.gov Request For Proposal (RFP) Notice ID number designator.
Sources Sought: This newly established SAM.gov posting is notifying industry that the Government is issuing a sources sought notice for industry to assist in conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess products and innovative technological solutions to meet United States Air Force (USAF) requirements for the CAT-F. The CAT-F shall possess capabilities to execute pre-load and fault isolation testing across the F-16, F-15, and A-10 fighter aircraft platforms. The CAT-F will accomplish this testing at the Organizational Level (O-LVL) flightline and Intermediate Level (I-LVL) back shop replacing the legacy testers.

Virtual Industry Day Announcement: The CAT-F team will host a virtual Industry Day on Tuesday, 14 November 2023 9:00-4:00pm. This Virtual Industry Day will provide a forum to present to industry CAT-F specifics and information. The Government will conduct one-on-one sessions on Wednesday, 15 November 2023 for those industry companies interested in providing their technical solutions, emerging innovative concepts to further aid in the development of CAT-F effort.

CAT-F CIRCULAR: A newly developed publication designed to provide industry partners with the latest acquisition information and announcements supporting the evolution of the CAT-F program.
