Project Description: The intent of the contract is to provide for the construction and completion of the work described. Furnish all labor, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies necessary to complete the work according to the contract. The work shall consist of the removal and construction of 4-wire fence with associated braces and gates. Removal of all T-posts, fence wire and line braces, corner braces and line posts, and clearing of brush and downfall to clear the fence line for new construction.
Project Location: The project location is on the Wisdom Ranger District, Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, in Beaverhead County, Montana. The Tie-Johnson Fence project area is approximately 13 miles west of Wisdom, Montana. General elevation in the project area varies from approximately 6,800 feet. The elevation of the fence fluctuations is a maximum of about 500 feet. The topography of the fences varies from extremely steep and rocky to fairly level but rocky. The landscape ranges from grassland/shrubland to Douglas fir timber stands.
MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION (per FAR 36.204(b)): Between $100,000 and $250,000.
