The magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000.
The work consists of furnishing one fully crewed and equipped hydraulic pipeline cutterhead dredge for the removal and satisfactory disposal of shoal material in the Atchafalaya River Bay, Bar, and Crewboat Cut Channel.
This solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). The resulting contract shall be firm fixed price (FFP). This solicitation will be issued on or about 17 April 2024 with a bid opening date to be set by amendment.
When posted, the solicitation will be available free of charge by electronic posting only and may be found on the System of Award Management System (SAM) website, https://sam.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. Therefore, telephone and Fax requests for this solicitation will not be honored. ***RFP is attached.*** This procurement will be issued as a 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) through Request for Proposal (RFP) procedures under FAR 15 and other FAR Parts and Subparts as applicable. The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center has a requirement to Install Decon Shower Drainage System #667-24-114. Barataria Bay Waterway Bar Channel Maint. Dredging
The work consists of the removal of shoal and satisfactory disposal thereof within the disposal site as shown on drawings. No dike work is required. The estimated time of completion is 70 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The solicitation will include seven (7) drawings and specifications.
The U.S. Government currently occupies office and related space in a building under lease in Baton Rouge, LA, that will be expiring. The Government is considering alternative space if economically advantageous and is seeking to lease approximately 2,601 gross square feet of existing Class A or B office space, in the Baton Rouge, LA area, specifically in zip code 70810. In making this determination, the Government, will consider, among other things, the availability of alternative space that potentially can satisfy the Government’s requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunication infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime.
The ideal space would fit the following: building specifications in compliance with all federal, state and local ordinances; force protection standards in compliance with Department of Defense’s Unified Facility Criteria; outfitted with either designated or open parking.
